  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Red gel food coloring (optional, for blood effect)
  • Toothpick or skewer (for bite marks)

Instructions

  1. Prepare cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Line a cupcake tray and bake 18–20 minutes. Let cool completely.
  2. Make filling: Spoon raspberry jam into a piping bag or zip-top bag with the tip cut off.
  3. Core and fill: Use a small knife to remove a tiny center from each cupcake. Fill each with raspberry jam. Replace the tops gently.
  4. Make frosting: Beat butter until smooth, then gradually mix in powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Frost and decorate: Frost cupcakes, then poke two small holes in each with a skewer. Drizzle red gel into holes and down the sides for a “bloody” effect.
