- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp pure maple extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or melting wafers (for dipping)
- Optional: maple sugar or crushed pecans for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add egg, egg yolk, and maple extract; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and stir until dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10β12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft. Cool completely.
- Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip half of each cooled cookie into the white chocolate and place on parchment paper to set. Sprinkle with maple sugar or pecans if desired.
