Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cookies:
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • For Dipping:
  • 8 oz white chocolate or white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Festive sprinkles or crushed candy (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add maple syrup and egg, and mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Roll dough into 1.5-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly soft. Let cool on pans for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  6. Melt white chocolate with coconut oil until smooth. Dip half of each cooled cookie in chocolate and place on parchment to set. Add sprinkles if desired.
  7. Allow chocolate to harden before serving or storing in an airtight container.

Notes

πŸŽ… Tip: Use real maple syrup (not imitation) for the best flavor. These cookies stay soft for days and make perfect edible Christmas gifts!
