  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef and pork over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic; sauté 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes to release flavors.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beans. Stir well to combine.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
