  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional garnish: green onions or sesame seeds

  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve chicken and pineapple mixture over cooked rice.
  7. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, simmer a few extra minutes or add a cornstarch slurry. This recipe also works great with broccoli or bell peppers added to the skillet.
