Instructions
- Prepare the peach syrup: Combine peaches, water, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes until the peaches become soft. Mash lightly, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve. Let the syrup cool completely.
- Mix the lemonade: In a large pitcher, stir together the peach syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cold water until well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over plenty of ice.
- Garnish: Add fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint sprigs for extra flavor and presentation.
- Serve: Pour into chilled glasses and enjoy this refreshing homemade peach lemonade.
Notes
For a sparkling version, replace half of the cold water with chilled sparkling water just before serving. Frozen peaches work beautifully when fresh peaches are out of season. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
