  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

  1. Make meatballs: In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. Form: Roll into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Cook: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes or pan-fry until browned and cooked through.
  4. Make sauce: In a saucepan, combine sweet chili sauce, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  5. Thicken: Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until glossy and thickened.
  6. Coat: Toss cooked meatballs in the sauce until fully coated.
  7. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of sriracha or grated ginger to the sauce. These also work great as party appetizers or meal prep bowls.
