- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water (for slurry)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

- Season chicken: Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Sear: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Make sauce: In the same pan, add garlic and ginger. Cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and sriracha. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Thicken: Add cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Combine: Return chicken to the pan and coat well in the sauce. Simmer 5–7 minutes until fully cooked and sticky.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
For extra heat, add chili flakes or extra sriracha. Serve with rice or noodles to soak up the sticky sauce. You can also bake instead of pan-cooking for an easier version.
