  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground meat over medium-high heat and drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and bell peppers. Sauté for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes to toast the spices.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and beans. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot with optional garnishes like cheese, sour cream, or cilantro.
