Description
The Spicy Mango Margarita is a tropical twist on the classic margarita, blending ripe mango, fresh lime juice, and a kick of jalapeño for the perfect sweet-heat balance. It’s bold, refreshing, and perfect for warm-weather sipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz triple sec (or orange liqueur)
- 1½ oz mango puree (fresh or frozen)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2–3 slices fresh jalapeño (seeds removed for less heat)
- Ice
- Chili-lime seasoning or Tajín, for rim
- Lime wedge and mango slice, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip into Tajín or chili-lime salt. Set aside.
- Muddle Jalapeño: In a shaker, gently muddle jalapeño slices to release their heat.
- Shake: Add tequila, triple sec, mango puree, lime juice, agave syrup, and ice. Shake well for 10–15 seconds.
- Serve: Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish: Top with a slice of mango and jalapeño or a lime wedge. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with ice instead of shaking. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño. You can also use a mango nectar or juice if puree isn’t available.
