- Add liquids: Stir in brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and beef broth.
- Add Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, cinnamon, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer: Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 15–20 minutes until rhubarb breaks down and sauce thickens.
- Blend (optional): For a smoother sauce, blend with an immersion blender or leave slightly chunky for texture.
- Stir in butter at the end for a glossy finish.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve warm over grilled steak, pork, or roasted vegetables.
