Instructions
Instructions
- Prepare the peach syrup: Combine peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 10–12 minutes until the peaches soften and release their juices.
- Strain the syrup: Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher. Press gently on the peaches to extract the syrup, then discard the solids. Let cool.
- Brew the tea: Bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool slightly.
- Mix the drink: Combine the brewed tea, peach syrup, and lemon juice in a large pitcher. Stir until blended.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the peach tea over the top. Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon, and mint before serving.
Notes
For an extra peachy flavor, add diced fresh peaches directly to the pitcher before chilling. Store refrigerated for up to 4 days. For sparkling peach tea, replace 2 cups of brewed tea with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
