- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- Fresh parsley for garnish

- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined and form into 6–8 oval patties.
- Place patties in the slow cooker in a single layer.
- Top with sliced mushrooms and pour beef broth over the patties.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until patties are cooked through and tender.
- Optional: Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the gravy for thickening. Cook 10–15 minutes more.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
For a richer gravy, add 1/4 cup heavy cream at the end. You can also add carrots or green beans for a one-pot meal.
