Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples gently.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the warm bars and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, lightly sauté the apples with cinnamon before adding to the batter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
