Description
This Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey is creamy, smooth, and elevated with a spicy-sweet drizzle. It’s the perfect balance of savory and heat—ideal for spreading on crostini, crackers, or serving as part of a holiday or snack board.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
- Chopped fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
- Toasted bread, crackers, or pita chips, for serving
Instructions
- Whip the Ricotta: In a food processor or using a hand mixer, blend ricotta with olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until creamy and smooth, about 1–2 minutes.
- Plate the Dip: Spoon whipped ricotta into a shallow bowl or plate. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight swirl or well in the center.
- Add the Heat: Drizzle generously with hot honey. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs.
- Serve: Enjoy with warm toast, crostini, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
To make homemade hot honey: simmer 1/4 cup honey with a pinch of red pepper flakes for 1–2 minutes. Let cool slightly before drizzling. Ricotta can be whipped ahead and refrigerated—add honey just before serving.
