- 6 croissants, torn into pieces
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Optional toppings: chopped green onions or parsley
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and layer half of the croissant pieces on the bottom.
- Top with half of the cooked sausage and half of the cheese. Repeat layers with remaining croissants, sausage, and cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered casserole.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (8β12 hours).
- In the morning, preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and bake for 35β40 minutes until the eggs are set and top is golden brown.
- Let cool 5 minutes, garnish if desired, and serve warm.
