- 6–8 tbsp ice water

- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Finishing
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp milk
- Powdered sugar for dusting

- Make dough: Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add ice water gradually until dough forms. Chill 30 minutes.
- Roll dough: Roll out and cut into small circles for pie bases and flower shapes for tops.
- Fill: Place a spoonful of jam in the center of each base. Sprinkle cornstarch if using.
- Assemble: Place flower-shaped dough on top and gently seal edges.
- Egg wash: Brush tops with egg and milk mixture.
- Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden.
- Finish: Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Chill dough before baking for flaky layers. You can use cookie cutters to create different flower designs. Avoid overfilling to prevent leaking.
