  • Cake Crumbs: 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar, 3/4 cup cake flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and line three 6-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour, baking powder, and salt alternately with milk. Fold in sprinkles.
  3. Divide batter evenly between pans and bake 20–25 minutes or until golden. Cool completely.
  4. Make the cake crumbs: Mix sugars, flour, and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Bake on a sheet pan at 300Β°F for 10 minutes, stirring halfway. Let cool and toss with sprinkles.
  5. Frosting: Beat butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar until fluffy.
  6. Assemble: Place one cake layer on a board, brush lightly with milk soak, add frosting, and sprinkle cake crumbs. Repeat for remaining layers. Frost the top and add more crumbs and sprinkles.
