Description
These Maple & Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots are tender, sweet, and buttery — a perfect side dish for fall, Thanksgiving, or any cozy dinner.

- 1 lb (450g) carrots, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch thick rounds
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or thyme
Instructions
- Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Add carrots and cook for 4–5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add maple syrup and brown sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved and sauce is smooth.
- Add carrots to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the glaze.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are tender and glazed.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley or thyme if desired.
- Serve warm as a delicious side dish.
Notes
For extra depth, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg. Baby carrots can be used for convenience.
