Description

Leprechaun Hat Cookies are adorable St. Patrick’s Day treats made with chocolate sandwich cookies, marshmallows, and candy decorations. Easy to assemble, kid-friendly, and perfect for festive parties.

  • 20 chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos)
  • 20 large marshmallows
  • 1 cup green candy melts
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate or black candy melts
  • Yellow candy melts or yellow icing (for buckles)
  • Green sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt dark chocolate or black candy melts according to package instructions.
  3. Dip one side of each marshmallow into melted chocolate and place onto the center of a cookie to form the hat.
  4. Allow to set for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Melt green candy melts and dip the marshmallow hats, coating evenly.
  6. Place back onto parchment and let set.
  7. Use yellow candy melts or icing to draw a small buckle on the front of each hat.
  8. Add green sprinkles if desired and allow decorations to fully harden.

Notes

Work quickly when dipping the marshmallows so the coating stays smooth. Store cookies in a cool place and avoid refrigeration to prevent condensation.
