Description
This Lemon Iced Tea is crisp, citrusy, and perfectly refreshing. Made with black tea, fresh lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness, it’s a simple and classic drink to enjoy all summer long — over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- 3 black tea bags (or green tea for a lighter version)
- ⅓ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- ¼ cup sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
- Lemon slices and fresh mint, for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Brew Tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bags and let cool slightly.
- Sweeten: While the tea is still warm, stir in sugar or honey until dissolved. Let cool to room temperature.
- Mix: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea with fresh lemon juice. Stir well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour in the lemon iced tea, and garnish with lemon slices and mint.
Notes
Adjust sweetness to your preference — or skip it entirely for an unsweetened version. Add a splash of sparkling water for a fizzy twist, or infuse with berries or basil for variation.
