- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (optional, for light coating)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

- Season chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Lightly dredge in flour if using, shaking off excess.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer for 4–5 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in butter until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.
Notes
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables. For extra creaminess, add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream to the sauce. This recipe can also be baked at 400°F for 20–25 minutes after searing.
