- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla.
- Combine: Alternate adding dry ingredients with sour cream and milk until smooth.
- Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool: Let cool in pan 10–15 minutes, then invert onto a rack to cool completely.
- Glaze: Drizzle lemon glaze over cooled cake.
