- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 2 medium)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 tsp sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, granulated sugar, and salt until crumbly. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a medium bowl, toss chopped apples with cinnamon and brown sugar. Spread over the crust layer.
- Crumble remaining dough over the apples, forming a topping.
- Bake 35β40 minutes or until golden brown and apples are tender.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the warm bars and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
