- 1/2 cup milk, warmed

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Butter or oil for greasing the dish

- Boil potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until tender. Drain well.
- Mash potatoes with butter and warm milk until smooth.
- Stir in chopped onion, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Fold in shredded cheese if using.
- Spread mixture evenly into prepared pie dish.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until set and lightly golden on top.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
