- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

- Prep salmon: Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Make sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
- Cook salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and cook 4–5 minutes until golden. Flip salmon and pour sauce over fillets. Cook 3–4 more minutes, spooning sauce over salmon, until cooked through.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley or green onions. Serve with rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.
Notes
For a stronger flavor, marinate salmon in half the honey garlic sauce for 15–30 minutes before cooking. Can also be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes with sauce brushed on top.
