  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

  1. Prep salmon: Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Make sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Cook salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and cook 4–5 minutes until golden. Flip salmon and pour sauce over fillets. Cook 3–4 more minutes, spooning sauce over salmon, until cooked through.
  4. Serve: Garnish with parsley or green onions. Serve with rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, marinate salmon in half the honey garlic sauce for 15–30 minutes before cooking. Can also be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes with sauce brushed on top.
