- 1 lb (450g) ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

- Preheat oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute. Drain excess fat.
- Mix sauce: In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir in cooked meat and mixed vegetables.
- Assemble casserole: Pour meat mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange tater tots evenly on top.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until tater tots are golden and crispy. Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake 5 more minutes until melted.
- Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with parsley or green onions and serve warm.
Notes
You can make it ahead of time and refrigerate before baking. Swap vegetables or add cooked bacon for extra flavor.
