  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 red onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers

  2. Prep skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 20–30 minutes.
  3. Assemble skewers: Thread ham, pineapple, bell peppers, and red onion onto skewers, alternating ingredients.
  4. Preheat grill: Heat grill to medium-high and lightly oil grates.
  5. Grill skewers: Place skewers on grill and cook for 8–10 minutes, turning every few minutes.
  6. Glaze: Brush skewers with glaze while grilling until caramelized and lightly charred.
  7. Finish cooking: Grill until heated through and edges are golden.
  8. Serve: Remove from grill and serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro.

Notes

For extra flavor, use smoked ham or leftover holiday ham. You can also add cherry tomatoes or zucchini for more variety. These skewers are great served with rice or as a party appetizer.
