- Brownie Base:
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on package) OR homemade brownie batter
- Pecan Pie Topping:
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecans, chopped or halved
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe. Spread evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes (they should be partially baked).
- While brownies bake, prepare pecan pie topping: whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in pecans.
- Pour pecan mixture over the partially baked brownies.
- Return to oven and bake an additional 25–30 minutes, until topping is set and golden.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares. The topping will firm up as it cools.
Notes
For extra indulgence, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
