A refreshing sangria with a warm twist of ginger and spices. Perfect for cozy gatherings, this drink combines wine, citrus, and a hint of spice for a festive flavor profile.
Ingredients

- 1 bottle red wine (750 ml)
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 1/2 cup ginger beer or ginger ale
- 2 tbsp honey or simple syrup (optional)
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4–5 whole cloves
- Ice cubes, as needed
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, and orange liqueur. Stir well.
- Add apple, orange, lemon slices, fresh ginger, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.
- Sweeten with honey or simple syrup, if desired. Mix gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (or overnight) to allow flavors to meld.
- Just before serving, add ginger beer or ginger ale for fizz and spice.
- Serve chilled over ice, making sure to include fruit in each glass.
Notes
For a lighter version, use white wine instead of red. You can also substitute ginger beer with sparkling water and a splash of ginger syrup.
