This Fried Pickle Dip is creamy, tangy, and packed with the bold flavors of dill pickles, crispy breadcrumbs, and savory seasoning. It’s everything you love about fried pickles — in easy-to-scoop dip form! Great with chips, pretzels, or fresh veggies.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¾ cup chopped dill pickles (plus 1 tablespoon pickle juice)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs, toasted
- 1 tablespoon butter (for toasting breadcrumbs)
- Chopped fresh dill, for garnish
Instructions
- Toast Breadcrumbs: In a small skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add panko and toast until golden and crisp, about 3–4 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Mix Dip Base: In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Fold In: Stir in chopped pickles and shredded cheese (if using).
- Top: Sprinkle toasted panko and chopped dill on top just before serving.
- Serve: Enjoy with chips, crackers, pretzels, or veggie sticks.
Notes
This dip can be made ahead, but add the toasted breadcrumbs just before serving to keep them crispy. For extra tang, use spicy pickles or a dash of hot sauce. Pairs great with waffle fries or fried chicken tenders!
