- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup floral jam (rose, lavender, or violet)

- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter & sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Gradually add flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Shape cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Press a thumb or back of a spoon into the center of each cookie.
- Fill each indentation with about 1/2 tsp of floral jam.
- Bake: Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use high-quality floral jams for the best flavor. For a prettier presentation, sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top once cooled. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
