- 2 cups pecan halves
- 24 soft caramel candies (such as Wertherβs or Kraft)
- 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate)
- Sea salt or festive sprinkles for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange pecans in clusters of 3β4 halves each on the baking sheet.
- Place one caramel candy on top of each pecan cluster and bake for 3β5 minutes until slightly softened.
- Remove from oven and press lightly to flatten the caramel.
- Melt chocolate chips (with coconut oil if desired) in the microwave, stirring every 20β30 seconds until smooth.
- Spoon melted chocolate over each caramel cluster and top with a sprinkle of sea salt or holiday sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for 15β20 minutes to set before serving or gifting.
