- 4 cups cooked navy beans or 2 cans (15 oz each) drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: cooked bacon pieces or diced bell pepper

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) if baking in the oven.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Add cooked or canned beans, onion, garlic, and optional ingredients. Stir to coat evenly.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, stirring halfway through, until sauce is thickened and beans are heated through.
- Serve warm as a side dish with barbecue, grilled meats, or sandwiches.
Notes
For extra smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of liquid smoke. You can also cook this on the stovetop in a covered pot for 20–25 minutes instead of baking.
