Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 10 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup ground chicken or pork (or finely chopped mushrooms for vegetarian)
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Oil for pan-frying
  • Optional: sweet chili sauce or soy dipping sauce

Instructions

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat until browned. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Stir in cabbage, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce. Cook 2–3 minutes until slightly softened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Mix in cornstarch to help bind the filling.
  4. Dip one rice paper wrapper in warm water for 5–8 seconds until pliable. Place on a clean surface.
  5. Add 2–3 tablespoons of filling near the bottom third of the wrapper. Fold bottom over filling, fold in sides, and roll tightly.
  6. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  7. Heat a thin layer of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry rolls 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

For air fryer method: brush lightly with oil and cook at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway. Avoid over-soaking rice paper to prevent tearing. Best served fresh for maximum crispiness.
