  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream until well combined.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Toss in cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed vegetables for extra protein and flavor. For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
