Cinnamon-Kissed Red Sangria is a soul-warming twist on the classic. With hints of spice from cinnamon sticks, bright citrus, and sweet apples, this sangria brings a cozy, fragrant touch to holiday tables or chilly-weather sipping.

- 1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine (like Garnacha, Rioja, or Merlot)
- ½ cup apple cider or orange juice
- ¼ cup brandy
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional, to taste)
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole cloves (optional)
- 1 cup sparkling water or ginger ale (added before serving)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine the Base: In a large pitcher, mix red wine, apple cider, brandy, and maple syrup or honey. Stir until sweetener is dissolved.
- Add Fruit & Spices: Add sliced apple, orange, lemon, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Stir gently to combine.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to infuse.
- Serve: Just before serving, add sparkling water or ginger ale and ice. Serve in glasses with fruit and a cinnamon stick if desired.
Notes
Use crisp apples like Honeycrisp or Fuji. For extra fall flavor, add a splash of spiced rum. This sangria can also be gently warmed (not boiled) for a mulled wine-style version.
