- 40 saltine crackers
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips
- Holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly and bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
- Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the crackers and spread gently.
- Bake for 5 minutes or until the toffee bubbles. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let sit for 2 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee.
- Add sprinkles or candy canes for decoration. Cool completely or refrigerate for 1 hour until firm.
