- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
- 8 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (for smooth melting)
- Sea salt or sprinkles for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10β12 minutes, until cranberries pop and mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in orange zest if using. Let the sauce cool completely, then chill in the refrigerator until firm.
- Once firm, scoop small portions and roll into bite-sized balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 15 minutes.
- Melt chocolate with coconut oil until smooth. Dip each cranberry ball into the chocolate, coating evenly.
- Place on parchment paper, garnish with sea salt or festive sprinkles, and chill until set. Serve and enjoy!
