- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 24 maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry
- Additional powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in vanilla extract, then gradually add flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Take about 1 tablespoon of dough, flatten it, and wrap it around a cherry to form a ball.
- Place the cookie balls on the baking sheet and bake for 12β15 minutes, or until set but not browned.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then roll the warm cookies in powdered sugar. Once completely cool, roll again for that perfect snowball finish!
