- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups chopped candy bars (Snickers, Reese’s, KitKat, etc.)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- Gradually add flour mixture alternately with milk, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped candies and chocolate chips gently.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
- Frost with your favorite frosting and decorate with extra candy pieces if desired.
