  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Spread sweet potato mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, chopped pecans, and softened butter. Mix until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the brown sugar topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the topping is golden and the casserole is heated through.
  7. Serve warm as a festive holiday side dish.

Notes

You can prepare the sweet potato mixture a day ahead and refrigerate. Add topping just before baking for best texture.
