- 4 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes (about 4 large)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp butter, softened (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Spread sweet potato mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, chopped pecans, and softened butter. Mix until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the topping is golden and the casserole is heated through.
- Serve warm as a festive holiday side dish.
Notes
You can prepare the sweet potato mixture a day ahead and refrigerate. Add topping just before baking for best texture.
