- 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
- 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare filling: In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
- Assemble sliders: Slice slider buns in half horizontally while keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
- Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the buns. Top with cheese slices and red onion.
- Add tops: Place the top buns over the filling.
- Brush: Combine melted butter and garlic powder, then brush over the tops of the buns. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake: Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe. For extra flavor, add crispy bacon, coleslaw, or pickled jalapeños before baking. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven for best results.
