These crispy Avocado Fries are crunchy on the outside and buttery-soft inside. Coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and either baked or air-fried, they’re an irresistible appetizer, side, or snack — especially with a tangy dipping sauce!

- 2 ripe but firm avocados, sliced into wedges
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or oil (for baking or air frying)
- Optional: dipping sauce (ranch, chipotle mayo, or lime crema)
Instructions
- Prep Station: Set up three bowls — one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat: Dredge avocado wedges in flour, then dip in egg, then press into the seasoned breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Cook:
- Oven: Preheat to 425°F (220°C). Place fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spray with oil, and bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Air Fryer: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Serve: Let cool slightly and serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
Notes
Use avocados that are just ripe but still firm for best results. For extra crispiness, double-dip in egg and breadcrumbs. Great as a gluten-free snack when using almond flour and GF panko.
