- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving drippings in the skillet.
- Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add green beans and cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
- Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, and stir until melted and well combined with the green beans.
- Stir in cooked bacon and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately as a rich and flavorful side dish.
Notes
Use fresh green beans for best flavor. Cream cheese can be swapped with a lighter cream cheese for a lower-fat version.
