5-Ingredient Crack Green Beans

  • Author: Recipe Inspire
  • Total Time: 22–25 minutes
  • Yield: 46 servings 1x

Description

Tender green beans cooked with bacon, onion, and a savory cream cheese mixture — only 5 ingredients for an irresistible side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving drippings in the skillet.
  2. Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add green beans and cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
  4. Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, and stir until melted and well combined with the green beans.
  5. Stir in cooked bacon and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately as a rich and flavorful side dish.

Notes

Use fresh green beans for best flavor. Cream cheese can be swapped with a lighter cream cheese for a lower-fat version.
