- 1 bottle dry red wine (750 ml)
- 1 cup apple cider or orange juice
- 1/4 cup brandy (optional but recommended)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, sliced
- 2β3 cinnamon sticks
- 4β6 whole cloves
- 2β3 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (optional, to taste)
- 1 cup sparkling water or ginger ale (added before serving)
Instructions
- Add the wine, apple cider (or orange juice), and brandy to a large pitcher.
- Stir in the sliced orange, lemon, and apple.
- Add the cinnamon sticks and whole cloves.
- Sweeten with honey or simple syrup if desired, then stir gently.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors infuse.
- Just before serving, add sparkling water or ginger ale for a festive fizz.
- Serve chilled with fruit and spices in each glass.
