- 2–3 cups chocolate chips or chunks

- Stir in the eggs and vanilla until fully combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a thick dough forms.
- Stir in the chocolate chips or chunks.
- Cover and chill the dough for at least 1 hour for maximum thickness.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop large 1/4-cup sized dough balls and place onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 11–14 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Let cookies cool on the baking tray for 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough is essential for ultra-thick cookies. For bakery-style height, stack two smaller dough balls together before baking. Add sea salt flakes on top for the perfect finish!
