  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Optional: guacamole, salsa, or hot sauce for serving

  2. Spread tater tots evenly on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy, following package directions.

  4. Add taco seasoning and a little water according to packet instructions, stirring until well combined. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  5. Once tater tots are done, transfer to a large serving platter or leave on the baking sheet.
  6. Top tater tots with seasoned ground beef and shredded cheese. Place under the broiler for 2–3 minutes if needed to melt cheese.
