- 3–4 lbs chuck roast
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix (0.87 oz)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 6–8 pepperoncini peppers
- Optional: 1 tsp black pepper

- Place the roast in the crockpot.
- Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
- Place butter on top of the roast.
- Add pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until roast is tender and easily shredded.
- Remove roast, shred with two forks, and stir back into juices.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or with bread for a hearty meal.
Notes
You can add sliced onions or carrots for extra flavor. The pepperoncini peppers add a slight tanginess, but remove seeds if you want it milder.
