  • 34 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix (0.87 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 68 pepperoncini peppers
  • Optional: 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Place the roast in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  3. Place butter on top of the roast.
  4. Add pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until roast is tender and easily shredded.
  6. Remove roast, shred with two forks, and stir back into juices.

Notes

You can add sliced onions or carrots for extra flavor. The pepperoncini peppers add a slight tanginess, but remove seeds if you want it milder.
