Description

This Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark is the perfect sweet-and-salty holiday treat! Crisp pretzels are layered with buttery caramel and melted chocolate, then finished with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt. Add festive sprinkles to make it Christmas-ready!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping
  • Holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Spread mini pretzels evenly in a single layer across the baking sheet.
  3. Make the caramel: In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the hot caramel evenly over the pretzels, spreading gently with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes to set the caramel.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Allow them to sit for 2–3 minutes, then spread into a smooth chocolate layer.
  8. Top with flaky sea salt and holiday sprinkles.
  9. Refrigerate 1 hour, then break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

To prevent sticking, make sure your pan is fully lined with parchment or foil. Try topping with crushed candy canes, chopped nuts, or white chocolate drizzle for fun variations. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
